We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager to lead the establishment and execution of an Artificial Intelligence Centre of Excellence (AI CoE) within our investment bank. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in driving AI strategy, overseeing implementation of AI/ML use cases across business units, and ensuring alignment with regulatory, risk, and business priorities.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Establish and lead the AI CoE, defining its governance, frameworks, KPIs, and success metrics.
2. Develop and maintain the AI roadmap, prioritizing initiatives in alignment with business strategy and technological maturity.
3. Manage end-to-end project lifecycle for AI initiatives – from ideation and feasibility, through to delivery and post-implementation review.
4. Collaborate cross-functionally with business units (e.g., investment banking, risk, compliance, operations) to identify AI opportunities and drive adoption.
5. Act as the primary liaison between data science teams, IT, and business stakeholders to ensure AI solutions are impactful, scalable, and secure.
6. Monitor and report progress, ensuring timely delivery within scope, budget, and compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
7. Lead change management efforts to promote AI literacy, adoption, and ethical use within the organization.
8. Evaluate, onboard, and manage external vendors and technology partners where required.

Qualifications & Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Finance, or a related field.
2. Minimum 7–10 years of experience in project management, with at least 3 years leading AI, data analytics, or digital transformation initiatives.
3. Prior experience in financial services or investment banking is highly preferred.
4. Strong understanding of AI/ML technologies, data governance, and model risk management frameworks.
5. Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage senior stakeholders.
6. PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile certification is a plus.
7. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
8. Strong awareness of regulatory frameworks (e.g., BNM, SC) related to data and technology.

Nice to Have:

1. Experience with cloud platforms (AWS & Azure) and MLOps tools.
2. Exposure to AI ethics, explainable AI (XAI), and responsible AI frameworks.
3. Knowledge of regional banking landscape and innovation trends in Southeast Asia.
