Project Manager

Role Overview

The Project Manager (TS) for the Network Operations Center (NOC) team is responsible for overseeing the efficient operation, performance, and continuous improvement of the NOC. This role involves managing a team of Tech Support (NOC) Engineers who monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot the organization’s software application to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead and manage the offshore team of 20+ Tech Support (NOC) engineers.
2. Provide product and technical training to the team.
3. Plan effectively around delivery constraints and optimize the plan to maximize benefits and minimize risk.
4. Proactively monitor project execution to effectively identify risks, issues, and dependencies as they arise throughout the project lifecycle. Assess the impact on the benefit realization for the projects and take action to minimize impact, actively challenging and removing obstacles.
5. Take ownership of critical issues and ensure resolution within agreed timescales, implementing mitigating plans against identified risks and issues.
6. Collaborate and build positive stakeholder and business partner relationships, providing regular updates to resolve high-priority issues affecting the project.
7. Provide timely reports on project status, risks, and issues, evaluating project performance based on management information.

Qualifications

1. Computer Science degree, Bachelor or above, with at least 5 years' experience in managing end-to-end software development or NOC projects.
2. Proficient in Mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients.
3. Excellent understanding of NOC management and best practice techniques on project delivery.
4. Confident in holding dialogue with senior management across functions and regions.
5. Excellent people performance management, planning, and organization skills.
6. Ability to work with diverse and geographically dispersed project teams.
7. Holder of Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification would be an advantage.
