JOB SCOPE
Role: Project Manager
The Project Manager will be the central point of contact across creative, programming, show production, marketing, design, and other lines of business, providing clear and concise planning and communication to ensure the successful execution of assignments. A project manager should be able to work independently while adjusting and adapting management styles and techniques to the uniqueness of each project, which is essential to success in this role.
Responsibilities:
- Get to know all members of a team or project, including their strengths, weaknesses, and areas of expertise. Keep in close contact with key project members and decision-makers.
- Ensure that relevant management information is captured and analyzed; track, analyze, and communicate project risks and opportunities.
- Coordinate projects from inception to completion.
- Assign various tasks to team members that relate to the completion of a specific project.
- Design an overall schedule for a project and make necessary adjustments if and when problems arise.
- Coach or coordinate team members on how best to accomplish their goals.
- Motivate others and build enthusiasm for a project by keeping focused on its main objectives and the rewards for completion.
- Keep upper management in the loop by preparing project updates and presentations that showcase a project's value and status, including tracking and reporting project progress and results.
- Stay familiar with the company's policies and goals and work to ensure that all members of a project team adhere to set standards.
- Resolve any budget queries that are raised, including timely communication if extra budget is needed, and increase the potential for profits.
- Develop training and briefing materials for staff, directing and participating in the team's performance reviews.
- Direct Quality Assurance.
- Participate in educational opportunities to stay up to date on leadership techniques and industry standards.
- Read professional publications to keep up with changes in the business world.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- At least 3 years of working experience (holding a managerial position in any industry).
- Excellent understanding of production methodologies and best practices, with specific experience in linear, design, social, print, and digital production.
- Exceptional organizational and communication skills.
- Strong leadership and negotiation skills.
- Able to work well under pressure.
- Ability to manage many tasks concurrently.
- Accurate, detail-oriented, and deadline-oriented.
- Articulate, flexible, collaborative, and approachable.
- Ability to assume accountability.
- Prior experience working in animation or gaming is a plus.
