Project Manager

Prestico Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced and dependable Project Manager to join our growing team, overseeing construction projects from planning through completion, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget in Johor Bahru, Johor. As a full-time Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the successful delivery of complex construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.

What you'll be doing

1. Project Planning:
   Define project scope with the company CEO.
   Develop a detailed work plan and resource schedule (time, budget, subcontractors, materials).
   Create a project timeline and coordinate it with all relevant teams.
   Set project goals and evaluation criteria; adjust plans as needed.
   Draft and adjust budget proposals.
2. Project Implementation:
   Execute the project according to the plan and track progress.
   Maintain organized documentation and secure project files.
   Regularly review work quality with the team, adjusting as necessary for successful outcomes.
3. Project Evaluation:
   Ensure project deliverables meet time, budget, and quality expectations.
   Provide a comprehensive handover report to management.
   Monitor onsite and offsite compliance with building and safety standards.
   Coordinate workers and subcontractors to ensure quality construction and methods.

What we're looking for

• Minimum 5 years of proven experience as a Project Manager in the construction industry
• Advanced knowledge of construction management processes, means and methods. Knowledge of building products, construction details and relevant rules, regulations and quality standards. Familiarity with construction management software packages. Excellent time and project management skills.
• Diploma or Degree in civil structure, construction management, architecture, engineering or related field. Strong attention to detail, complex problem-solving skills, ability to multi-task and juggle multiple duties simultaneously with little management oversight.
• Ability to speak in local Chinese and English dialect for communications with subcontractors is an added advantage.
• Self-motivated and proactive with excellent communication skills and good command both written and verbal in English.
• Possess good understanding in the areas of construction, carpentry, signage, design, QS, M&E, and site supervision. Resourceful, organised, able to multitask, time sensitive and logical. Applicant must be able to read and interpret drawings.
• Familiarity with construction regulations, safety standards and quality control procedures.
