Project Engineer (Solar)

Job Description

We seek a dynamic Project Engineer to join our C&I Team, responsible for managing end-to-end solar rooftop EPCC projects. The role demands a blend of technical expertise, stakeholder management, and leadership to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Project Management

1. Oversee planning, design, procurement, construction, and commissioning of solar rooftop systems.
2. Monitor project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation to ensure cost-effective delivery.
3. Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies.

Stakeholder Coordination

1. Act as the primary liaison between clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams.
2. Lead meetings, address technical queries, and provide regular project updates.
3. Supervise and mentor site supervisors and on-site teams to ensure adherence to safety and quality protocols.
4. Conduct site inspections to troubleshoot issues and ensure compliance with design specifications.

Cost & Compliance Management

1. Track project expenditures, optimize costs, and prepare financial reports.
2. Ensure compliance with local regulations (e.g., Suruhanjaya Tenaga, TNB) and secure necessary permits.

Documentation & Reporting

1. Prepare project documentation (designs, progress reports, handover manuals).
2. Maintain records of variations, delays, and resolutions.
3. Stay updated on solar industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
4. Propose innovative solutions to enhance project efficiency and outcomes.

Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Civil/Renewable Energy Engineering.

Experience: Minimum 2–3 years in C&I solar rooftop installation projects (EPCC background preferred).

Technical Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD, PVSyst, or project management tools (e.g., MS Project) is a plus.
