Project Engineer - (Power and Energy)

The role requires strong technical knowledge, project management skills, and budgeting experience.

Responsibilities:

(i) Project Execution & Coordination

• Oversee genset installation, engineering, commissioning, and procurement activities.
• Manage projects from start to finish, ensuring quality, timelines, and budget compliance.
• Work closely with subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project execution.
• Ensure compliance with engineering standards and regulations.

(ii) Technical & Engineering Support

• Assist in proposal management and technical document preparation.
• Review and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Support the design and implementation of gas/diesel engine projects.
• Coordinate with different stakeholders to optimize project costing and procurement.

(iii) Project Planning & Budgeting

• Understand project budgets, cost estimation, and procurement processes.
• Utilize MS Project for scheduling, tracking, and project planning.
• Monitor project progress and provide reports to stakeholders.

(iv) Power Generation & Industry Knowledge

• Gain exposure in microturbine, gas turbine, and power plant projects.
• Stay updated with industry trends and competitive insights.

Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.

Experience:

• Fresh graduates or candidates with 2-3 years of experience.
• Exposure to genset projects (installation, commissioning, procurement, costing).
• MS Office, basic knowledge of project management & engineering drawings - can read single lines, schematics, and drawings.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Basic knowledge of proposal management & engineering drawings.
• Understanding of project budgets, procurement, and costing.
• Experience in MS Project for scheduling and project planning.

Industry Exposure:

• Gas and diesel engines experience.
• End-to-end project experience from initiation to completion.

Nice to Have (Preferred but Not Required)

Certifications:

• PMP (Project Management Professional) certification.

Industry Experience:

• Familiarity with engineering standards & compliance.
• Prior experience working with competitors (UMV Power, subcontractors, Dynac, Tractor Malaysia, etc.).
