Project Engineer (C&I)

Responsibilities

1. Conduct engineering site visits to plan equipment and interconnection locations at the site and connection to the existing electrical system.
2. Develop, supervise, and/or review designs of commercial and industrial scale solar systems, including but not limited to the electrical, structural, and mechanical aspects of the projects.
3. Work with the design team to confirm engineering design to decide DC equipment and AC interconnection locations at the site and connections to the existing electrical system.
4. Liaise and manage sub-contractors for their scope of works, schedules, and monitoring workmanship qualities of subcontractors during installation.
5. Record, implement, and manage design change requirements.
6. Work with internal and/or external parties such as TNB, consulting firms, and local authorities on licensing matters and documentation.
7. Liaise and coordinate with TNB HQ & local authorities on meter installation and grid interconnection of solar PV systems.
8. Setup remote monitoring systems and conduct test & commissioning of the solar PV systems.
9. Review deliverables at project milestones to ensure the project is within timeline and budget.
10. Weekly reporting and new project scheduling.
11. Implement best practices and safe work procedures throughout the project on site.

Requirements

1. Minimum 3-5 years of work experience in Electrical or Construction industry.
2. Possess a Bachelor Degree in Engineering majoring in Electrical.
3. Basic electrical knowledge is essential.
4. Basic knowledge in MS Office (Word, Excel, Project).
5. Possess own transportation and willing to travel when required.
6. Able to work under pressure and meet project deadlines when required.
7. Self-motivated and positive attitude with strong sense of responsibility and result-oriented.
8. Good interpersonal and communication skills.
