Job description

POSITION SUMMARY:

Providing comprehensive support to our customers on existing large projects. As the primary contact for our customer’s purchasing and engineering team, this position requires coordinating, estimating, expediting, shipping, planning, engineering, and problem resolutions that relate to that customer.

OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Provides positive customer support and superior service.
  2. Leads a design team through full product development and into production.
  3. Acts as a liaison between customers and sales, engineering, manufacturing, quality, and shipping consulting on technical requirements and competencies needed during quoting.
  4. Provides technical input to help identify and solve project risks that may affect overall project plans and schedules.
  5. Processes requests for quotes and initiates order placement.
  6. Processes customer change requests and reviews customer open order reports.
  7. Investigates and resolves problems related to new orders, shipments of products, discrepant material, and billing.
  8. Maintains customer service records and associated databases.
  9. Responsible for contacting customers regarding schedule changes in order to maintain on-time delivery.
  10. Ensures all documents are of professional quality and that they meet both company guidelines and customer imposed requirements.
  11. Light to moderate travel to company, customer, and other facilities.
  12. Ensures that performance on key business metrics achieves business objectives (revenue growth, margin performance, cost management/PPV, inventory turns, AR management, etc.).
  13. Ensures that performance on key customer satisfaction metrics achieves customer objectives (price performance, on-time delivery, quality, etc.).
  14. Coordinates customer priorities with factory priorities.
  15. Proactively provides feedback on opportunities for continuous improvement, based on having a solid understanding of engineering and manufacturing processes.
  16. Interfacing with the customer at a high level and being able to successfully manage key revenue programs.
  17. Any other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  1. Requires excellent presentation skills and active listening abilities.
  2. Requires strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to perform within tight time constraints.
  3. Quick study with the ability to come up to speed on current projects quickly.
  4. Must have working knowledge of multiple engineering disciplines.
  5. Requires some knowledge of products, technologies, and customer markets.
  6. Must be able to manage and resolve conflicting product and project requirements.
  7. Ability to interface effectively with customers, subordinates, peers, subcontractors, and vendors.
  8. Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to multitask and adjust priorities quickly.
  9. Must be able to operate with minimal supervision in a manner consistent with corporate goals.
  10. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate at the appropriate level across the organization.
  11. Proficient with MS Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  12. Ability to commit to a flexible schedule and prompt arrival to the scheduled.
  13. Proficient in English and Mandarin Language.

EDUCATION & TRAINING/EXPERIENCE:

  1. Engineering or Manufacturing related degree preferred.
  2. Minimum 5 years of experience as an Account/Program Manager or a representative in an intensive customer service-oriented field.
  3. Experienced with knowledge of Sheet metal & CNC products.
