About the job Production Supervisor / Deputy OIM

ROLE PURPOSE:

  • To ensure platform operates in a safe, efficient, reliable, and environmentally sound manner.
  • Responsible for the continuous operations of company production activities, ensuring company objectives are met and utilizing optimum technology and efficiency.
  • Perform routine and non-routine functions to operate, monitor, and control process and utility facilities as a main responsibility and in conformity to standard operating procedures for field facilities equipment and conduct complex troubleshooting.
  • Resolve any process and utility upset including but not limited to power generation, utility equipment, distributed control systems, fire and gas systems, etc., within a specified timeframe to ensure safe, reliable, and effective field operations.
  • Provide support, knowledge, and skill sharing to Operators/Technicians to ensure transfer of knowledge and skill of Operation and Maintenance activities.
  • Provide necessary assistance in monitoring the required ICSS panels at all times, especially during process upset or emergency situations.
  • Perform data entry of gathering information and parameters for preparing production reports.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

HSSE

  • Understand, control, and manage the Permit To Work system.
  • Participate in You See You Act, Safety Action Tracking system, and ensure dissemination of corrective actions and lessons learned.
  • Support and participate in Incident investigation and reporting system
  • Actively involved in Safety Meetings, tracking and updating related issues.
  • Support and participate in any Internal or External Audits
  • Responsible and actively participating during Major Emergency Management, either in Actual or Regular Drill/Training conditions.

Operation Management System (OMS)

  • Read and understand the policies and procedures.
  • Ensure systems and procedures are clearly established for daily operations.
  • Ensure critical equipment and systems in the safeguarding of asset integrity are identified and are subject to integrity controls, including inspection, examination, testing, calibration, and regular maintenance during the entire lifecycle.

Platform Activities

  • Produce a schedule for daily activities and planned shutdowns.
  • Assess daily information, priorities, actions, delegate, and close out.
  • Organize workload, workforce, and logistics among team members.
  • Ensure all platform activities, either by regular platform crews or contractors, apply approved procedures and PTW.

Platform Production

  • Responsible for meeting Daily, Monthly, Quarterly, and Yearly Production Targets.
  • Manage platform day-to-day business.
  • Strong knowledge of running Platform Operations, its equipment, and processes.
  • Ensure all planned and unplanned activities are being done in a safe and efficient manner.

Turnaround Planning / Planned Shutdown

  • Responsible for planning Platform Planned Shutdown and their planned major activities.
  • Responsible for the mapping and preparations of isolation valves, equipment, and associated piping according to the planned activities.
  • Responsible for the preparations of documentation associated with the planned shutdown activities.
  • Responsible for ensuring Bring Back Online Operations in a Safe and Efficient manner.

Annual Platform Budget

  • Responsible to assist and support project individual budget installations and control.
  • Responsible for planning and communicating budget planning and getting team members' involvement.
  • Responsible and leads to close out all budgetary documentation and paperwork.

Platform Audit

  • Responsible for ensuring and supporting Internal and External Audits.
  • Responsible for ensuring the audit runs in a Just and Fair Culture willing to expose, learn, and improve culture.
  • Participate and involve with audit findings and take immediate closure actions and follow up.

Competence Assurance Program

  • Participate in CA Assessor training.
  • Fully support and ensure the successful implementation of the Platform CA program.
  • Continuously manage, monitor completions, and ensure the highest quality of team members CA task assignment.
  • Act as Mentor, Coach, and Assessor to the platform team members.

Staff Development

  • Responsible for planning and identifying training needs for the team members based on CA standard guidelines.
  • Responsible for planning and balancing between training scheduling and platform workforce needs.
  • Perform fair and transparent annual appraisals for the team members.

Daily Maintenance Report

  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with all relevant Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental management procedures and controls.
  • Responsible for producing, maintaining precise, and accurate close-out reports in a timely manner.

Communication

  • Responsible for reviewing and assisting feedback as required to offshore and onshore supporting groups.
  • Be able to have constructive, optimistic, and confident interactions between platform employees, team members, and offshore support groups.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

Knowledge:

  • Diploma or equivalent qualification in engineering or applied science from a recognized university or higher institution of learning.
  • Conversant with Offshore Platform Operations and Maintenance activities and Simultaneous Platform Operations.
  • Familiar with oil and gas offshore platform operations setup, structures, environment, work processes, and procedures in Malaysia.

Experience:

  • Minimum 10 years working experience in Oil and Gas Offshore Production Operating Platform.
  • Minimum 5 years experience as Production Supervisor or equivalent with Offshore Gas Production Operating Platform is an advantage.

Skills:

  • Computer proficient in the use of Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Effective communicator at all levels; fluent in English, oral and written.
  • Effective in planning, scheduling, and prioritizing work tasks.
  • Ability to motivate and encourage learning for effective people development.
  • Ability to coordinate, interface, organize, and/or chair meetings.
