Production Supervisor

About the role

As a Production Supervisor at Schmaco Auto Parts Industries Sdn Bhd, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the efficient and effective operation of the production line. This full-time position, based in Rawang, Selangor, will involve managing a team of production workers to ensure that manufacturing targets are met consistently and to the highest quality standards.

What you'll be doing

• Supervising and coordinating the daily activities of the production team to meet production targets, following proper procedures, meeting quality standards, and working efficiently
• Overseeing the daily production schedules, tracking progress, and adjusting as needed
• Monitoring and optimising production workflows to identify and address bottlenecks and inefficiencies
• Ensuring that products meet the required specifications and quality standards, conducting inspections, and addressing any quality issues that arise during production
• Ensuring strict adherence to health, safety and quality control procedures
• Providing hands-on training and development to production workers to improve skills and productivity
• Managing the availability of raw materials, tools, and equipment needed for production
• Identifying and resolving production issues, such as equipment malfunctions, delays, or material shortages, to keep production on track
• Collaborating with other departments to resolve production-related issues and implement process improvements
• Generating and analysing production data to identify trends and recommend corrective actions
• Maintaining detailed records and preparing production reports for management

What we're looking for

• 3-5 years of experience as a Production Supervisor or in a similar role within the manufacturing industry
• Strong knowledge of production planning, scheduling and quality control principles
• Proficient in using production management software and data analysis tools
• Excellent problem-solving, decision-making and critical thinking skills
• Ability to lead and motivate a team to achieve production targets
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with cross-functional teams
• Physically hands-on person with strong organization skills
• Able to commit to a 5.5 day (Monday 8am to 5pm to Saturday 8am to 2pm) working basis
