Production Planner

Farmiera is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Production Planner to manage and optimize the production scheduling and planning for our poultry processing operations. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring efficient production flow, meeting delivery timelines, and maintaining optimal inventory levels, aligning closely with sales forecasts and customer requirements.

Responsibilities

• Production Scheduling:
  • Develop and maintain production schedules to meet sales forecasts and customer orders.
  • Establish sequences and lead times for each operation, ensuring timely delivery of finished products.
• Supply Chain Optimization:
  • Implement and enhance the total planning system, linking sales, marketing, and production to the end customer.
  • Monitor and adjust plans based on demand variations and raw material availability.
• Communication & Coordination:
  • Ensure all departments are informed of production statuses, aligning work planning and execution objectives.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing personnel, purchasing teams, and supervisors to resolve production planning issues.
• Analysis & Reporting:
  • Analyze production specifications, plant capacity, workflow, and manpower requirements to optimize schedules.
  • Monitor backlog, capacity utilization, and production results, ensuring adherence to planned schedules.
  • Provide timely and accurate production reports to management.
• Problem-Solving & Optimization:
  • Address production challenges using analytical skills and industry knowledge.
  • Identify areas for improvement in production planning and recommend effective solutions.
• Compliance & Efficiency:
  • Ensure production processes comply with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
  • Maintain appropriate inventory levels to meet production demands while minimizing waste.

Requirements

• Certificate, Diploma, or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Mathematics or Data Science, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in production planning, preferably in a poultry processing or food manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of production processes, capacity planning, and supply chain management.
• Proficiency in planning software and tools, such as ERP systems or Excel.
• Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to analyze data and translate it into actionable plans.
• Knowledge of safety and quality regulations in the food processing industry is an advantage.
