About the Role
The Production Manager Box Build & Home Appliances oversees the end-to-end manufacturing process, ensuring efficient production, quality control, and timely delivery of home appliance products. This role involves process optimization, team leadership, compliance enforcement, and resource management to meet business objectives and customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Product Development
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (design, engineering, manufacturing, supply chain) to develop new home appliance products.
- Manage the product lifecycle from concept to production, including design, prototyping and testing.
- Improve appliance components and assemblies to meet safety, reliability and cost standards.
2. Box Build Process
- Oversee the box build assembly, ensuring proper integration of internal and external components.
- Optimize assembly procedures for efficiency, quality and cost-effectiveness.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in the box build and integration stages.
3. Supplier Management
- Work closely with suppliers to source materials, components and parts.
- Evaluate and qualify suppliers based on cost, quality and production capability.
- Ensure all components meet regulatory and quality standards.
4. Testing & Validation
- Conduct product testing to ensure safety, reliability and compliance with industry standards.
- Work with testing teams to validate performance and durability under real-world conditions.
5. Cost Management
- Identify cost-saving opportunities in production and material sourcing without compromising quality.
- Collaborate with procurement teams for cost-effective component sourcing.
6. Continuous Improvement
- Implement process improvements in manufacturing, assembly and product design.
- Utilize data-driven methods to streamline workflows and enhance efficiency.
- Stay updated on industry trends and technological advancements.
7. Collaboration & Communication
- Maintain clear communication with project managers, suppliers and manufacturers.
- Provide technical support and guidance to manufacturing teams.
- Present progress reports and product updates to senior management.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Management, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years in production management, preferably in box build assembly or electronics manufacturing.
- Strong leadership, team management, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Language: Proficiency in Mandarin is preferred to facilitate communication with suppliers, teams, or stakeholders.
