We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Manager to oversee our plastic extrusion manufacturing operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the production process, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety while meeting production goals and deadlines.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and adjust production schedules to meet customer demands and company goals, accommodating changes in demand or supply chain disruptions.
• Oversee the plastic extrusion process from raw material handling to finished product.
• Implement and maintain best practices for extrusion processes, ensuring optimal machine performance and product quality.
• Develop and oversee strategies to reduce the cost per kilogram, improve production efficiency, and maintain high-quality standards through effective quality control procedures.
• Consistently achieve the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) set by senior management, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
• Lead, train, and supervise production staff, ensuring high levels of productivity and morale through regular performance reviews and constructive feedback.
• Ensure all safety protocols are followed, creating a safe working environment.
• Stay updated with industry regulations and ensure the plant operates in compliance with local, state, and federal laws.
• Manage inventory of raw materials and finished products, coordinating with the procurement department to ensure timely availability of materials and optimal stock levels.
• Implement lean manufacturing principles and other efficiency methodologies.
• Prepare and present regular reports on production performance, including metrics on productivity, efficiency, and quality.

Requirements:

• Possess Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Industrial Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in plastic extrusion.
• Proven experience in a leadership role within a production setting.
• Strong knowledge of plastic extrusion processes and machinery.
• Excellent leadership, team management, problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in production planning and scheduling.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
