Production Manager

About the role

This full-time Production Manager role at MICRODRIVE INDUSTRIAL SDN. BHD. in Simpang Ampat Penang is an excellent opportunity to take on a key leadership position within a successful manufacturing organisation. As Production Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the production process to ensure efficiency, quality and timely delivery of products to customers.

What you'll be doing

• Manage and coordinate the day-to-day production operations to meet targets and deadlines
• Implement and maintain effective production planning and control systems
• Monitor production performance and identify opportunities for process improvements
• Ensure compliance with quality, health and safety, and environmental standards
• Lead and motivate a team of production staff, providing coaching and mentoring as needed
• Collaborate with other departments, such as procurement, engineering and sales, to align production activities
• Analyse production data and provide recommendations to senior management

What we're looking for

• Degree in Engineering, Operations Management or a related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar production management role, preferably in the manufacturing industry
• Strong understanding of production planning, scheduling, and control systems
• Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical skills
• Proven track record of leading and motivating production teams
• Proficient in using data analysis tools and production management software
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
