Responsible for overseeing the daily production operations to ensure the required products are produced and packed on time, safely and within the required quality.
Main Tasks
Ensure all environmental, health and safety rules and guidelines are fully adhered to and maintain high safety standards for a safe working environment by the production personnel.
Plan, organize, and manage daily production activities to ensure that production schedule targets are met.
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of production supervisors, foremen, and operators, fostering a culture of teamwork and accountability.
Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide feedback, and identify training needs for team members.
Facilitate effective communication within the production team and across departments.
Perform internal audits to support Integrated Management System ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO 45001, and IATF 16949 Quality Management System for the Automotive industry.
Implement and uphold quality control measures to maintain product quality requirements and consistency within the production team.
Initiate investigations to identify the root cause and sustainably implement necessary corrective actions on non-compliance or incidents regarding safety, quality, production efficiency, and customer complaints.
Ensure all production personnel are working according to work instructions and procedures adhering to BASF standards.
Prepare, update, and maintain procedures, work instructions, EASI, HIRA, WSP, and other documentation on environment, quality, and safety involving production operations for compliance.
Manage production resources, including raw materials, equipment, and personnel, to optimize productivity and minimize waste.
Lead initiatives for production process optimization and cost reduction, utilizing methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Polymer Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in production management within a manufacturing environment, preferably in engineering plastics or compounding.
Proven experience leading teams and managing production operations.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
