Job description

As Production Executive at Gourmet Ingredients, you will support the Operations Manager in ensuring efficient, high-quality manufacturing processes. You will oversee daily production activities, implement best practices, and maintain compliance with company standards and regulations. This role requires a hands-on, proactive individual with minimum 2 years of experience in a similar capacity, and currently in the FOOD manufacturing or related industry.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Daily Production Operations
  • Supervise daily production processes to ensure efficient and smooth operations.
  • Monitor production schedules and ensure adherence to timelines.
  • Coordinate with the supply chain and quality assurance teams to ensure the availability of raw materials and smooth workflow.
  • Process Optimisation
    • Identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies in the production process and suggest improvements.
    • Monitor and analyze key production metrics to meet performance targets.
    • Assist in the implementation of lean manufacturing practices.
  • Quality Control and Compliance
    • Ensure all production activities comply with HACCP, GMP, HALAL, and other relevant certifications.
    • Conduct regular quality checks during production and report any deviations.
    • Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to maintain product standards.
  • Equipment Maintenance
    • Monitor the condition and performance of production equipment and coordinate maintenance with the engineering team.
    • Report any breakdowns or malfunctions promptly to minimize downtime.
  • Safety and Compliance
    • Enforce workplace safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
    • Conduct safety briefings and ensure team adherence to company policies.
  • Team Coordination
    • Supervise production operators and provide on-the-job training where necessary.
    • Communicate daily production goals and ensure alignment with the team.

    Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

    • Production Efficiency: Achieve a minimum of 95% adherence to production schedules.
    • Quality Standards: Ensure zero major quality defects during production.
    • Downtime Management: Reduce unplanned downtime by 10% annually.
    • Waste Reduction: Decrease raw material wastage by 5% annually.
    • Safety Compliance: Maintain zero safety incidents on the production floor.

    Objectives

    • Ensure seamless production operations to meet customer demands.
    • Support process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
    • Maintain high-quality standards and compliance with food safety regulations.
    • Build and maintain a motivated and efficient production team.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology, Manufacturing, Engineering, or related field.
    • More than 2 years of experience in a Production Executive role within a FOOD manufacturing environment.
    • Working knowledge of HACCP, GMP, and HALAL requirements.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
    • Excellent communication and coordination skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
