Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for coordinating and improving engineering builds on newly set up machines and equipment for new product development.
Implement improvement actions and corrective actions on existing production lines to improve operation KPIs.
Source for new machines and equipment to support new product development and perform technical competitive analysis.
Liaise with external suppliers or vendors to develop new machines and improve equipment capability to solve process challenges.
Coach, train, and guide subordinates to ensure product quality conformance to required standards.
Ensure and uphold safety during operations adhering to health and safety procedures.
Handle and resolve issues arising related to the manufacturing process and engineering.
Prepare daily reports on engineering build outcomes and assigned tasks.
Develop, modify, and create solutions to solve engineering problems.
Any other duties assigned from time to time based on engineering or business needs.
Job Requirements:
Degree in any field. Qualification in Mechanical, E&E, Manufacturing, Process Engineering, or equivalent will be an added advantage.
A minimum of 3-5 years working experience with proven minimum 2 years of managerial exposure and any other professional certificates will be considered as well.
Experience in a manufacturing environment leading a functional team of executives to change processes and drive improvement actions in delivering output, quality, and cost improvement goals. Experience in the food industry will be an added advantage.
Familiarity with industry standard equipment and technical expertise - ISO, HACCP, FSSC, etc.
Candidates must be aggressive, result-oriented, and self-driven. Highly organized and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Attention to detail. Proven track record in achieving production KPI targets is required.
Able to create accountability and lead by example. A hands-on person willing to take on additional responsibilities.
Strong team building, decision-making, and people management skills. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work with diverse cultures and regional/global colleagues.
Possess own transport and willing to travel locally or overseas as and when required.
