Production Engineer

About the role

Graphtech (M) Sdn Bhd, a leading graphite manufacturer in Malaysia, is seeking a talented and driven Production Engineer to join our dynamic team in Shah Alam, Selangor. In this full-time role, you will play a pivotal part in optimising our manufacturing processes and ensuring the seamless delivery of high-quality products to our customers.

What you'll be doing

1. Oversee the day-to-day operations of the production floor, ensuring efficient utilisation of resources and adherence to production schedules.
2. Analyse production data and identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance productivity and quality.
3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement innovative solutions to manufacturing challenges.
4. Monitor and maintain production equipment, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate maintenance activities.
5. Develop and implement effective quality control measures to ensure the consistent delivery of high-quality products.
6. Train and mentor production team members to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
7. Contribute to the development of production plans and strategies to support the company's overall business objectives.

What we're looking for

1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably in Mechanical, Industrial, or Production Engineering.
2. 2-3 years of experience in a production or manufacturing environment will be an advantage.
3. Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
4. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
5. Proactive and adaptable, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to continuous improvement.
