Role overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced team player to join our team in the Asia Pacific region. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing a team of product safety for the implementation of regulatory compliance measures across the organization and entities in the region. This position involves collaboration with key stakeholders, leading process improvement and optimization, and ensuring effective change management.

Key Responsibilities

• Product Safety Operations & Compliance: Oversee Product Safety services and compliance initiatives across Asia Pacific, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and Service Level Agreements (SLAs). Include close collaboration with key stakeholders and experts across regions.
• Operational Excellence: Drive consistent quality and compliance in Product Safety services, ensuring high standards across Asia Pacific. Include stakeholder interactions, fostering a feedback loop to achieve service excellence.
• Service Delivery Optimization: Ensure efficient service delivery by optimizing team resources to meet key performance indicators. Include joint efforts and best practices benchmark across peers.
• Issue Management: Manage issues effectively, including conducting thorough investigations, identifying root causes, and exchanging insights with peers and/or stakeholders towards sustainable solutions.
• Process Improvement: Proactively enhance processes through digitalization and other optimization measures. Ensure appropriate change management processes within the team for related enhancement execution.
• Knowledge Management: Lead the knowledge management framework within the team, encouraging proactive knowledge sharing and continuous learning.
• People Leadership: Manage and develop a team of 12-15 members, ensuring optimal workforce efficiency, talent retention, and continuous growth through coaching and development (self and team).
• Documentation & Presentation: Generate and maintain comprehensive documentation for work procedures and reporting purposes, including preparing presentations using Microsoft Office for various stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in managing product safety-related services in a complex, multi-national environment.
• Leadership skills with a track record of leading and/or managing people for service excellence.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills for close collaboration with peers and key stakeholders across business units.
• Demonstrated ability for self and team development.
• Exceptional documentation and communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Presentation with impactful content creation.

Education

• University degree, Master/PhD degree in a scientific area, preferably in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.
