Job Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Product Development Specialist to lead the formulation, development, and enhancement of our line of health and wellness supplements. This role involves researching new ingredients, developing innovative products, and ensuring quality and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nutrition, product formulation, and an understanding of market trends in dietary supplements. They will work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, quality assurance, and regulatory affairs, to bring safe, effective, and market-competitive products to consumers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Product Formulation: Develop new health supplement formulations based on current scientific research, consumer needs, and market trends. Ensure formulations are both effective and compliant with regulatory standards.
• Research and Ingredient Sourcing: Research new ingredients, evaluate their health benefits, and source high-quality, sustainable raw materials. Work with suppliers to obtain necessary documentation for product safety and efficacy.
• Quality and Compliance: Collaborate with the quality assurance and regulatory teams to ensure products meet all safety, regulatory, and labeling requirements (e.g., NPRA, GMP).
• Testing and Trials: Oversee product stability, efficacy testing, and trials to validate claims and improve product formulations as needed.
• Innovation and Trends Analysis: Stay informed about the latest trends and advancements in the supplement industry, continuously proposing innovative ideas and updates for the product line.
• Documentation and Labeling: Create and review product documentation, including ingredient specifications, technical sheets, and label claims. Ensure compliance with labeling regulations.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, sales, and production teams to ensure that product development aligns with brand strategy and meets consumer expectations.
• Cost Management: Optimize formulations to balance cost-effectiveness with quality, ensuring products are financially viable without compromising on standards.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Food Science, Nutrition, Biochemistry, or related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in health supplement product development or a related role.
• Certification: Relevant certifications in dietary supplement formulation or quality assurance (e.g., Certified Nutrition Specialist, Supplement Product Development Certification) are a plus.
• Skills: Strong analytical skills, proficiency in ingredient analysis, knowledge of regulatory requirements, and formulation expertise.
• Technical Competency: Familiarity with dietary supplement manufacturing processes, ingredient functionality, and scientific documentation.
• Innovation and Creativity: Ability to identify new trends and develop innovative products that meet market demand.
• Detail Orientation: Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in formulation, compliance, and documentation.
