● Generating ideas for new products and conducting research on their feasibility.
● Develop new products and improve existing products according to brand philosophies, calendar and timeline.
● Source new and best quality of raw materials or ingredients from reliable suppliers with farm stories for NPD, involve in product cost saving initiatives during R&D stage to meet expected COGS.
● Conduct shelf-life study, packaging and operational handling efficiency evaluation for new products.
● Prepare whole set of documentation upon launch of any new product (recipe, costing, USPs, SOPs, product specifications, briefing files etc).
● Conduct internal sensory with internal panels and improve if any.
● Build good collaboration with cross functional teams in new product development, responsible for new product briefing and SOP handover to retail leaders and production team.
● Ensure mass run quality is similar to prototype.
● Conduct customers' surveys and analyse customer's feedback towards the new products and improve if any.
● Perform ad hoc tasks assigned by superior from time to time.
Skills/Experience Required:
● Possess Degree or Diploma in Culinary/ Food Science / Food Technology / Science & Technology or equivalent.
● Minimum 2 years of experience in fast-paced food production environment.
● Possess FMCG / F&B / GMP exposure and has successfully developed and launched products like savoury snacks and meals.
● Independent, attention to detail, well organized, good & positive attitude and well equipped with multi-tasking ability.
● Possess analytical and creative skills.
● Very hands on and a team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills; both verbal and written.
● Excellent computer skills relating to Microsoft Office/Excel.
