About the Job

As a Procurement Specialist, you will play a critical role in sourcing and procuring components, materials, and services for our consumer electronics (crypto mining hardware) manufacturing operations. You will work closely with EMS providers, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure cost-effective procurement strategies, supply chain stability, and compliance with industry standards.

What you will be responsible for:

  1. Sourcing & Procurement Management
    • Source and procure PCBs, enclosures, mechanical/electrical parts, and other critical materials required for production.
    • Identify and evaluate EMS providers and component suppliers to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery.
    • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and payment terms with suppliers to optimize costs and maintain strong supplier relationships.
    • Conduct supplier audits and assessments to ensure compliance with quality and regulatory standards.
    • Work closely with inventory management and production teams to forecast demand and manage procurement cycles.
  2. Supplier & Risk Management
    • Develop and maintain a diversified supplier base to mitigate risks of shortages and disruptions.
    • Track supplier performance, monitor on-time delivery rates, quality issues, and reliability, and implement improvement plans when needed.
    • Identify and qualify alternative suppliers for critical components to ensure business continuity.
    • Manage trade compliance, import/export regulations, and logistics coordination for international sourcing.
  3. Collaboration & Process Optimization
    • Collaborate with engineering, NPI, and production teams to ensure components meet technical specifications and production timelines.
    • Work with finance and logistics teams to optimize payment terms, shipping costs, and inventory levels.
    • Implement best practices in procurement processes, cost-saving initiatives, and supplier performance improvements.

How you will stand out:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  2. 5+ years of procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management experience, preferably in a technology or electronics manufacturing environment.
  3. Strong understanding of consumer electronics, PCBA sourcing, and mechanical/electrical component procurement.
  4. Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems for procurement and supply chain management.
  5. Proven negotiation skills with a track record of securing competitive supplier agreements.
  6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with suppliers and internal teams.
  7. Ability to work independently and manage multiple procurement projects simultaneously.
  8. Certifications in procurement or supply chain management (e.g., CIPS, APICS) are a plus.
  9. Experience with supplier risk management, demand planning, and cost analysis.
  10. Strong analytical skills, including experience with data analysis tools for procurement cost optimization.
