Source, evaluate, and maintain high-quality suppliers to optimize the Southeast Asian supply chain.
Conduct regular audits on supplier qualifications (quality, cost, delivery capability) and phase out underperforming suppliers.
Develop procurement plans, execute purchase orders, monitor delivery progress, and handle urgent procurement tasks including on-site purchasing.
Analyze market trends, lead price negotiations to reduce costs, and track budget compliance.
Process payments, reconcile accounts, and manage invoices in alignment with company financial policies.
Draft and review procurement contracts to ensure compliance with Malaysian legal requirements.
Oversee Malaysian warehouse inbound/outbound operations, ensure inventory accuracy, and optimize inventory turnover rates.
Collaborate with warehousing and logistics teams to ensure timely material supply and resolve delivery delays.
Support material procurement for new product development projects.
Conduct short-term business trips to coordinate regional supply chain activities.
Complete other tasks assigned by management.
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Supply Chain Management, International Trade, Finance, or related fields (preferred).
Minimum 2 years of procurement experience in manufacturing/retail industries, with knowledge of Southeast Asian supply chains and warehouse management processes.
Hands-on experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) for processing purchase orders and invoices.
Proficient in end-to-end procurement cycles, with strong negotiation, data analysis, and cross-department collaboration skills.
Advanced proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP) and PowerPoint for creating procurement reports.
Basic financial knowledge for payment reconciliation and compliance documentation management.
Fluency in English and Mandarin (required for communication with Chinese/Malaysian suppliers and teams). Malay language skills are a plus.
Adaptability to fast-paced environments, strong stress tolerance, and a valid driver’s license (required for on-site purchasing tasks).
