Procurement Executive

Salary Range: RM3,000 – RM4,000

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate in implementing procurement strategies aligned with project goals, budgets, and timelines, while assisting senior team members in monitoring supplier performance.
• Perform cost and service evaluations, prepare supplier selection recommendations, and manage routine purchasing tasks, including issuing purchase orders and verifying invoices.
• Assist in supplier negotiations to secure favorable terms, achieving cost savings without compromising quality.
• Contribute to optimizing freight and shipping arrangements, supporting cost efficiency and smooth logistics operations.
• Handle daily procurement transactions and provide support for additional tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

• Must possess at least a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in direct purchasing of construction materials within a main contractor environment is preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Knowledge of quantity surveying is an added advantage.
• Strong ability to manage multiple priorities within deadlines and make logical, well-rounded judgments.
• Willing to work overtime when required.
• Ability to travel for projects and possess personal transportation.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, particularly in English, Malay, and Mandarin.
• Fluency in Mandarin is preferred, as the role involves dealing with Chinese suppliers.
