Procurement Engineer （Oil and Gas）

• Responsible for innovative and cost-effective procurement strategies.
• Searching for trustworthy merchants/vendors/suppliers.
• Negotiating with vendors/suppliers.
• Devising and using fruitful procurement and sourcing strategies.
• Discovering profitable suppliers and initiating procurement partnerships.
• Finalizing purchase details such as orders and deliveries.
• Examining existing contracts.
• Controlling spend and building a culture of long-term savings on procurement costs.
• Analyzing and preparing the overall procurement plan for project materials, tracking material from Purchase Order (PO) issuance to delivery at site.
• Sourcing materials from approved vendors as per client’s or the company's requirements.
• Formulating a workable procurement schedule and progress weightage in line with the overall EPC contract schedule.
• Preferable candidates with Oil & Gas industry experience.
• Preferable candidates with an Engineering background.
• Proficiency in Chinese will be an added advantage.

Requirements:

• Diploma/Degree in Business Studies/Administration/Management or any field.
• Ideally with a degree in supply chain management, logistics, or business.
• Ideally with more than 3 years of working experience in the oil and gas industry.
• Relevant skills and knowledge: Preferably for oil & gas refining and Pipeline.
• Experience as Procurement Manager or Head of Procurement.
• Good knowledge of third-party supplier management software.
• Decision-making skills.
• Collecting and analyzing data.
• Proficiency in Chinese is preferred.
• Leadership skills.
