Our client is the industry leader and has been expanding aggressively around the region.

With their strategies and innovation, they are currently looking for a Procurement Assistant Manager to join their leadership team.

Job Description

The Procurement Assistant Manager will be the focal point for overall Procurement activities focusing on CAPEX. This person will be working closely with the leadership team to help drive growth of the company. Amongst the many responsibilities, some are listed below:

  • Manage the procurement and sourcing of Capex items, including Mechanical, building maintenance, spare parts, and machinery.
  • Issue RFQs and collaborate with the technical team for technical clarifications.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to place POs and award contracts to suppliers and contractors after negotiations.
  • Stay agile in your role and meet the KPIs set by Management.
  • Regularly update the project budget and cash flow as directed by Management.
  • Monitor indexes for metals, energies, etc., and use them to inform negotiation strategies.
  • Ensure all projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Lead and motivate the reporting team to meet their KPIs.
  • Make sure all commercial and statutory terms and conditions are accurately documented in the PO.
  • Convert PRs to POs within the deadlines set by Management.
  • Work with the Finance Department to oversee the P2P process until supplier payments are completed.
  • Visit fabricators and suppliers routinely, and also respond to urgent requests from internal stakeholders to expedite job completion.
  • Conduct financial evaluations and commercial due diligence for suppliers.

The Successful Applicant

  • At least 8 years of Procurement experience.
  • Familiar with system - Oracle.
  • At least a Bachelor in Engineering or any related field.
  • Strong in Mechanical and construction items.
  • Ability to handle and negotiate with suppliers.
  • Good understanding of regulatory requirements and processes.
