DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The duties and responsibilities of this position consist of, but are not limited to, the following:

  1. Manage internal and external customer expectations and relationships
  2. Identify, build, and maintain relationships with internal network of relationships
  3. Transition relationships to carrier providers, customer stakeholders, and TMS providers
  4. Provide benchmarking and KPI support with customers
  5. Help define internal and external project teams
  6. Partner with stakeholders to gain commitment of project team resources
  7. Lead and facilitate project tollgate meetings, responsible for results and customer sign off
  8. Document project scope, communications, and expectations
  9. Support group methodology, tools, techniques, infrastructure, and presentations
  10. Track hours of time spent by project, branch, and assignment in accordance with group guidelines
  11. Resolve project issues and escalate when needed
  12. Assess and manage project risk
  13. Support gathering of post-engagement feedback and internal reviews
  14. Responsible for quality, review, and delivery of all customer documents
  15. Assist other groups, especially sales and account management teams
  16. Other duties or responsibilities as assigned according to the team and/or country-specific requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

  1. High school diploma or GED
  2. Minimum 2 years of previous procurement, project management, or transportation experience
  3. Ability to work flexible schedule on occasion; some night and weekend hours may be required
  4. Ability to travel up to 5% (domestically and/or internationally); expected travel for 2 events per year

Preferred:

  1. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
  2. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of programs
  3. Six Sigma, CSCP, and process improvement experience
  4. Previous Project Management experience
  5. Ability to work cross-functionally and effectively influence and partner
  6. Solid verbal, written, and presentation communication skills with the ability to tailor messaging to the appropriate audience
  7. Experience communicating to and facilitating meetings with leadership-level customer roles
  8. Solid negotiation and influencing skills
  9. Solid planning, problem-solving/critical thinking skills, and ability to execute plans
  10. Experience consulting and influencing and thriving in a fast-paced, decentralized, matrixed, global environment
  11. Ability to build strong relationships across all levels of the organization
  12. Ability to multitask and prioritize projects efficiently and effectively with strong attention to detail
  13. Problem-solving, analytical, critical thinking skills, and ability to make decisions/recommendations
  14. Knowledge of effective change management techniques
  15. Values a diverse and inclusive work environment
