DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The duties and responsibilities of this position consist of, but are not limited to, the following:
- Manage internal and external customer expectations and relationships
- Identify, build, and maintain relationships with internal network of relationships
- Transition relationships to carrier providers, customer stakeholders, and TMS providers
- Provide benchmarking and KPI support with customers
- Help define internal and external project teams
- Partner with stakeholders to gain commitment of project team resources
- Lead and facilitate project tollgate meetings, responsible for results and customer sign off
- Document project scope, communications, and expectations
- Support group methodology, tools, techniques, infrastructure, and presentations
- Track hours of time spent by project, branch, and assignment in accordance with group guidelines
- Resolve project issues and escalate when needed
- Assess and manage project risk
- Support gathering of post-engagement feedback and internal reviews
- Responsible for quality, review, and delivery of all customer documents
- Assist other groups, especially sales and account management teams
- Other duties or responsibilities as assigned according to the team and/or country-specific requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum 2 years of previous procurement, project management, or transportation experience
- Ability to work flexible schedule on occasion; some night and weekend hours may be required
- Ability to travel up to 5% (domestically and/or internationally); expected travel for 2 events per year
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of programs
- Six Sigma, CSCP, and process improvement experience
- Previous Project Management experience
- Ability to work cross-functionally and effectively influence and partner
- Solid verbal, written, and presentation communication skills with the ability to tailor messaging to the appropriate audience
- Experience communicating to and facilitating meetings with leadership-level customer roles
- Solid negotiation and influencing skills
- Solid planning, problem-solving/critical thinking skills, and ability to execute plans
- Experience consulting and influencing and thriving in a fast-paced, decentralized, matrixed, global environment
- Ability to build strong relationships across all levels of the organization
- Ability to multitask and prioritize projects efficiently and effectively with strong attention to detail
- Problem-solving, analytical, critical thinking skills, and ability to make decisions/recommendations
- Knowledge of effective change management techniques
