Position Overview

Join our team! We are looking for a detail-oriented and hands-on Process Technician. The main responsibility of the role is to carry out and monitor the process of resins to ensure finished goods meet the required specifications and quality.

Responsibilities

1. Carry out the resins process activities (i.e. pumping, loading, setting, heating, sampling, cooling, etc.) for each batch and perform process control and analysis throughout the process to ensure end products meet the required quality and specifications in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures.
2. Perform corrections in reactor, thinning tank/buffer tank and other vessels to bring the resins/raw material mixture into specifications.
3. Perform troubleshooting with Senior Process Technician / Supervisor / Process Engineer to resolve process problems as and when required, e.g., discuss process deviations, yield loss, faults in equipment, and all other accessories.
4. Record reliable and accurate production data such as viscosity, acid value, colour, appearance, machine downtime, process reaction time, dilution time, filling time, raw material consumptions, yield, extra time account, etc.
5. Check the final resin specifications, carry out sampling and analysis, and confirm the quality/specifications before sending to the lab for further testing.
6. Monitor in-process parameters (temperature, pressure, vessel dosing rate, weight, etc.).
7. Audit the raw material in batching area/production floor, hot room, and peroxide house before the operator performs the hoisting/loading.
8. Carry out loading, sucking, drumming, change filter, standby drum, hoisting, and capping.
9. Ensure good housekeeping practices are carried out in the process lab, control room, Synthese used drum area, used raw material drum area, and the production area including cooling warehouse.
10. Ensure that work is carried out in accordance with Company rules and regulations, Standard Operating Procedures, and Health, Safety, and Environment requirements.

Required Skills and Experience

1. Preferably with 1-2 years of related working experience.
2. Fresh certificate holders or those without but with relevant working experience are encouraged.
3. Able to work on rotating shifts.
4. Physically fit and able to wear necessary PPE.
5. Ability to operate a forklift (training will be provided).

Qualifications

Certificate or Diploma in Technical/Science field, preferably in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry related field.
