A Snapshot of Your Day

Develop process engineering fundamentals and pressure relief analysis know-how through hands-on experience with various client projects.

How You’ll Make an Impact

Job scopes include but are not limited to:

  1. Perform process data entry and verification
  2. Develop system sketches or relief process flow diagram
  3. Perform pressure relief analysis in accordance with international standards such as ASME Sec VIII, API STD 520 & 521, etc., or other best practices and guidelines
  4. Perform relief load calculation and relief valve sizing
  5. Perform relief simulation for towers, distillation columns, etc. using process simulator to calculate the relief load
  6. Develop flare network model based on piping isometric
  7. Perform hydraulic analysis for flare network using hydraulic simulator
  8. Generate findings list and provide mitigation options
  9. Prepare study report for submission to the client
  10. Lead the execution of a project in the capacity of both technical lead and project manager
  11. Support Sales Manager by providing input to proposals, technical, and marketing presentations
  12. Provide knowledge transfer trainings or trainings related to software to client

What You Bring

- Degree in Chemical Engineering from a recognized university
- 5 - 7 years of relevant process engineering design and process safety (pressure relief) experience in the petrochemical / chemical / refinery industry
- Team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Positive learning attitude
- Ability to multi-task, manage multiple interfaces, and prioritize work
- Knowledge of process modeling software (Pro II, Aspen HYSYS, etc.) and experience in the use of relevant technical computing tools and design tools for hydraulic calculations preferred
- Good knowledge of industry standards and practices related to process design and safety
