We are currently seeking a Front End & Process Engineer to join our team based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

About The Job

  1. Perform engineering analysis to identify optimal solutions based on client drivers and be able to efficiently communicate these solutions through technical reports and presentations.
  2. Carry out techno-economic analyses for energy projects (upstream, mid-stream, down-stream but also renewables).
  3. Work on key Energy Transition topics such as Hydrogen, CCUS, Ammonia, Biofuels, and biowaste, etc.
  4. Imagine & support the development of new digital tools to improve our performance or deliver added value to our clients.
  5. Participate in consulting activities from green fields to mature assets.
  6. Consolidate results and methodologies within sound deliverables.
  7. Liaise and interface with consulting, engineering, business and digital teams as well as external partners.
  8. The work performed will be varied and activities include independent advisory, feasibility and conceptual studies, and operational support activities often with direct interface with the Client.

Main Accountabilities

  1. Performs advisory work as defined by project in accordance with Genesis and project quality requirements.
  2. Controls relevant discipline engineering activities to ensure completion of safe and operable design in accordance with Genesis and project requirements, relevant laws, regulations, and codes.
  3. Reviews job scope and provides estimates and schedules.
  4. Communicates regularly with Client / Study Manager to ensure objectives are being met in a timely manner.
  5. Reviews all relevant discipline data.
  6. Interfaces with other engineering disciplines.
  7. Develops engineering strategies, philosophies, and procedures.
  8. Participates in project presentations to communicate results.
  9. Reviews all data requested by Client for approval.
  10. Participates in safety, environmental, operational and design review meetings, where necessary.
  11. Provides support to younger engineers and mentor assigned personnel.
  12. Participates in Genesis global knowledge sharing initiatives within their engineering discipline.
  13. Capacity to lead small discipline engineering teams and/or lead small projects.

About You

Must have:

  1. Qualifications & Experience:
  2. Degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
  3. Preferably have 1-2 years project design experience in Concept Identification, Feasibility Study, Concept Selection, Conceptual Engineering and/or FEED (FEL1/2/3) type of projects.
  4. Good computer literacy with particular competence in MS Office software.
  5. Good report writing, communication and social skills.
  6. Ability to explain discipline engineering concepts in a straightforward manner.
  7. Ability to work extended hours as needed to meet job requirements.
  8. Ability to work as part of a team.
  9. Integrity and trust.
  10. Flexibility and commitment.
  11. Strong proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  12. Good / effective communication skills.

Nice to have:

  1. Minimum education: master degree (or international equivalent) in a subject relevant to the engineering discipline.
  2. Industry experience with preferentially some experience in front end studies specifically (previous experience in a consultancy, design house, engineering contractor or operator environment).
  3. Experience in typical relevant technical process engineering software.
  4. Skills which would be differentiators for your application and that we would look to develop:

  6. Knowledge of project economics.
  7. Experience in energy transition domains.
  8. Operational support experience.
  9. Working in a client environment.
