Process Engineer - Machining Process

Process Engineer will be responsible for developing, optimizing and overseeing production processes to enhance efficiency, product quality and cost effectiveness. He/She should have a deep understanding of machining operations, continuous improvement methodologies and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Your Responsibilities Include, But Not Limited To:

• Serve as the Process Engineer for Machining Operations, involving CNC machines, turning machines, and secondary processes.
• Establish manufacturing methods and work instructions to ensure operators/machinists follow proper procedures according to standards and safety requirements.
• Conduct training for operators/machinists on new work instructions or improvements.
• Investigate and implement corrective actions for quality issues related to processes.
• Lead and manage improvement projects to enhance yield, quality, and machine utilization.
• Initiate and participate in continuous improvement processes and 6S practices to increase productivity and maintain safety, particularly in meeting departmental KPIs.
• Support NPI by analyzing data and developing work instructions to ensure smooth integration with production.
• Collaborate with the CAD/CAM team to improve quality, yield, and cycle time.
• Ensure proper setup and use of equipment, tools, jigs/fixtures, and parts according to established procedures.
• Support daily tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Minimum Qualification:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Manufacturing or Mechanical)
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Strong analytical skills with advanced proficiency in Excel
• Strong project management and organizational skills
• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels
• Excellent organizational, time management, and planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.

Preferred Qualification:

• CGPA >3.0 preferred
• Lean Six Sigma, 8D or other equivalent problem solving skills and certification is an added advantage.
