Responsibilities
- Process Improvement - Identify and recommend process improvement projects to the department manager and area supervisors. Track all costs and work performed. Initiate project requests to the engineering department, providing technical support and coordination of activities as needed to complete the project.
- Provide technical support to the process production areas as required on a daily basis.
- Process Technology - Assist with plant production trials. Assist production supervisors and corporate technical personnel in the scheduling and implementation of product trials.
- Problem solving and troubleshooting of existing processes.
- Analyze yield and output along with necessary corrective measures and process improvement.
- Preparing, scheduling, coordinating, and monitoring of assigned all related Capex projects related to all engineering and technical disciplines.
- Interacting with clients, interpreting their needs and requirements, and representing them in the field.
- Performing quality control tasks on budgets, schedules, plans, and personnel performance and reporting on the process improvement project's status.
- Controlling & updating all plant drawing includes PID, PFD, layout drawings, shop floor drawings of the plant.
- Lead reliability studies on critical equipment including mechanical integrity of the Plant & Utilities.
- Lead department’s risk assessment/analysis (OSH-RA, ERA, JSA & HAZOP)/PHA follow up action and review effectiveness of control measures/mitigation.
- Participate as HSE Committee member to address issues pertaining to HSE to ensure mitigation measures are in place to prevent any incident or prevent any recurrence.
- Take reasonable care for health and safety of himself and of other persons, cooperate with superior, wear or use personal protective equipment provided as appropriate and comply with health and safety instruction as stipulated under Section 24 OSHA 1994.
Requirements
- Candidate must possess at least a Graduated Degree in Engineering, preferably in Mechanical or Chemical fields with a strong technical background.
- At least 3-5 years of working experience in the process industries; preferably with chemicals and manufacturing fields.
- Able to read and interpret P&ID diagrams, drawings, and specifications.
- Experience in management, project planning, and maintenance.
- Detail-oriented, specific and hands-on in approach with good analytical skills.
- High commitment to execution, aggressive, dynamic, and result-oriented.
- Self-motivated, able to work independently and under pressure with tight schedules.
- Able to work with minimum resources.
- Familiar with Occupational Safety & Health Act 1994.
- Experience in 5S housekeeping, ISO 9001, and ISO 14001 would be an added advantage.
