Job Title: Process Engineer (JR55279)

As Module/SSD Engineer, we are primarily responsible for defining, developing, and improving processes or procedures with throughput in terms of quality, reliability, productivity, flexibility, and cost of ownership for process flow. We work extensively with manufacturing shop floor systems and various systems to provide solutions for manufacturing process flow controls. We focus on yield analysis and improvement.

In addition to regular day-to-day process issues, we will address challenges of existing HVM/sustaining products, NPI, or new processes in LVM, train production workforce, implement process changes, and explore new solutions or materials when required. We are also expected to demonstrate application of problem solving, systemic solution, risk assessment and management, decision-making, and project management techniques and methodologies to achieve your objectives.

Responsibilities and Tasks:

  1. Improve Assigned Process/Product Yield/Quality
  2. Maintain in-depth ETE knowledge for HVM or sustaining product and process.
  3. Perform manufacturing yield evaluation by defining top Pareto defect RC with CAPA in place.
  4. Lead process characterization and product/process recipe optimization and management.
  5. Develop, introduce, implement, improve and ensure effectiveness process control along FMEA and QCP for end-to-end process control and identify risk assessment.
  6. Perform detailed electrical/physical failure analysis, process mapping, and work with other departments to resolve Module/SSD related issues.
  7. Maintain good documentation of process specifications and standard operating procedures.
  8. Implement changes due to customer requirement, sites horizontal deployment, proliferation, process improvement, and guide along the company change control system.
  9. Problem solve process issues which include finding root cause, containment of materials, and implementing corrective and preventive actions.
  10. Maintain and improve process with SPC in place for scalability.
  11. Shift left mentality to improve severity, occurrence, and detection along fool-proof system or process control in place.
  12. Lead any customer/UL/TUV/ISO/IATF audits and checklist on process steps.
  13. Responsible for disposition of non-confirming product or process and solving failures from customer returns and providing system solutions for any process or product issues.
  14. Validate process capability baseline, POR, TOR, and BOM (direct and indirect material).
  15. Work along cross-department team members on CoNC improvement metrics by cost, cycle time, yield, and quality targets.
  16. Support New Product Introduction.
  17. Evaluate new risks identified with new product/process.
  18. Provide engineering solutions and train workforce.
  19. Supervise new product quality metrics and bring it to sustain level.
  20. Feedback to NPI or design group on problems, potential problems/opportunities, and DFM guideline.
  21. Assist new process/product tool/machine/equipment capabilities along NPI team.

Future Process/Material Development

  1. Perform research, market survey equipment, machine, tool, or material.
  2. Conduct evaluation or experiment (DOE) on material and benchmarking on new equipment.
  3. Apply decision-making methodologies for selection, test out new solutions with extensive data collection and analytics.
  4. Handle change of implementation of new process/equipment/material which include process specification, training material, and SOP.
  5. Set up systems for data extraction, traceability, and data analysis.
  6. Automate any process metrics monitoring.
  7. Provide efficiency on EPT (Effective Processing Time) by improving capacity and increasing product output to meet OTD.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's or equivalent experience or Master's Degree in Mechanical/ Material/ Electrical/Electronic/Computer Engineering.
  2. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
  3. Strong technical know-how with validated problem-solving skills (7QC tools), Excel/JMP for data analysis will be advantageous.
  4. Able to work independently, with less job supervision, highly motivated and driven to achieve targets in tight schedules with limited resources.
  5. Strong coordinating abilities to work across various functional teams.
  6. Good and positive interpersonal skills and growth approach.
  7. Knowledge in DFX/DFM/DFA is helpful.
  8. Knowledge in FMEA, QCP, SPC, and DOE is helpful.
