Process Engineer

The Process Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the optimization, efficiency, and effectiveness of our manufacturing processes. This role will focus on drawing verification to ensure smooth production including understanding the ability of production facilities. In the meantime, provide feedback on the overall production process to continuously optimize performance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Drawing Verification: Review and verify technical drawings and schematics to ensure they meet the necessary specifications and standards for production.
• Machine Capability Assessment: Assess the capability of machinery used in production processes and ensure they meet the required performance standards to maximize productivity.
• Process Optimization: Provide suggestions and feedback on the effectiveness of the manufacturing process to ensure optimal performance. Identify areas for improvement and implement process changes, when necessary, for lean manufacturing practices.
• Costing & Material Planning: Monitor production costs and alert management to potential cost issues or discrepancies.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the application engineer, production team, and design engineers to ensure smooth process flow and effective machine utilization.
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records and reports related to process changes, machine capabilities, and cost analyses, with regular updates to management.
• Additional Tasks: Perform additional tasks as assigned by the immediate supervisor, ensuring alignment with organizational requirements and goals.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience: 2-3 years of experience in a process engineering or manufacturing role, in pump or similar engineering industry will be an extra advantage.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and machine capabilities is a plus point.
• On-site work in the manufacturing facility at Sungai Petani, but possess own transport as occasional travel may be required for site visits or discussions at Bukit Mertajam Headquarter Office.
