Process Engineer

Job Description

To provide process support to the manufacturing group, enabling product development and manufacturing efficiency and quality improvement to be achieved.

Oversee process control by setting SOCs for process lines and process improvement to ensure productivity and quality improvement.

Responsible for:

1. Process troubleshooting including PID tuning to ensure smooth and efficient production.
2. New product and process development and introduction which include process specification, upgrades, trials and equipment commissioning and tuning.
3. Providing technical & training support to both manufacturing and AP sales force.
4. Preparing technical documentation, weekly/monthly reporting including presenting for internal review and escalating to regional team for extending support.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor of Science or Engineering majoring in Chemical Engineering, Plastics Science or Equivalent/Minimum diploma for Assistant Process Engineer.

Experience: Minimum 2 to 3 years experience in plastic processing industry environment.

Skills:

1. Hands-on experience and knowledge in computer, preferably with exposure to PLC factory automation system / PID tuning.
2. Good communication and interpersonal skills to develop good working relationships with people inside & outside of the organization.
