Process Engineer

Process Engineer is responsible for creating and maintaining the standards in production processes and to support the training and development of the production teams. This role needs to drive process improvements, optimize productivity through effective planned activities such as size changes, autonomous maintenance, projects & material trials, and safeguard the process settings and standards for the equipment in production, facilitating the application of Manufacturing Excellence principles and tools (work instructions, procedures, etc.) in line with Vinda’s Integrated Management System (ISO45001, ISO14001, ISO9001, FSC).

Working Location: Vinda SEA HQ (Bandar Bukit Raja, Klang, next to Setia Alam)

You will play an essential role to:

• Be a role model for Safety.
• Understand and follow company safety policies and procedures, enforce safe behavior, and identify unsafe conditions.
• Always prioritize the quality of our products.
• Enforce 5S housekeeping practices according to standards set.
• Support an effective Daily Operation Meeting (DOM) through high participation, involvement, and problem-solving leadership, mastering Daily Direction Setting (DDS) ‘0-loss flow chart’ and coaching teams towards ‘run-to-standard’.
• Review and maintain production data in MES DPR on a daily basis, also review Critical Process Settings reported accordingly in the MES.
• Set, monitor, and improve the processes according to Statistical Process Control methodologies.
• Drive Consumer Complaint investigations and propose actions to eliminate/minimize manufacturing-related failures.
• Support product/material development and project implementation according to statistical analysis methodology.
• Conduct technical gap analysis for the area of responsibility.
• Work in small group activities as the expert for process and technology for his/her production lines.
• Be responsible for continuous improvements that deliver positive effects in safety, quality & performance.
• Train and coach the operation teams to improve behaviors and adequate use of systems & tools.
• Perform other relevant duties as may be directed by his/her superior.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical/Industrial/Mechatronic Engineering
• At least 3 years of experience in FMCG/manufacturing industry is a plus
• A multitasker, committed, and pro-active, driven for results
• Good communication skills: Able to communicate to all levels
• Knowledge in Statistical Process Control (SPC)
• Knowledge and experience in Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) & Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems is a plus
