Ansell is looking for Process Engineer based in Melaka.

You will develop the operating teams’ technical understanding and mastery of process control. This role will be the Centerline DMS owner for the organization. The Process Lead is also responsible for managing data for the line structure, where with the Line lead & Maintenance lead is jointly responsible for the results on the line, including safety, quality, reliability, production attainment, productivity, and costs.

What your role will be in details?

1. Make sure processes are running within the defined specifications and if out, make sure correct QA procedures are followed.
2. Make sure all the centerlines are updated and maintain the Centerline log/Deviation log on time while continuously improving the quality of the centerlines.
3. Make sure all the defined centerlines are monitored and include it to the relevant check lists wherever necessary.
4. Analyze and manage all required data for line structure to make effective decisions in the Direction Settings.
5. Use this data to identify process losses and to overcome them.
6. Work with line management to prioritize improvement opportunities.
7. Eliminate or reduce (prioritized) losses through making process or work system changes.
8. Participate in the daily direction-setting process – report results, flag issues and request resources.
9. Own critical daily management systems, e.g. center-lining (run-to-target).
10. Standardize equipment and work processes. Own the change management system for a designated process. Update process control strategies and operating procedures as changes occur.
11. Share and reapply learning across processes, modules, and plants.
12. Prepare and give training on process/equipment changes.
13. Take part on planned stops and RCO’s flowing to the line as needed.
14. Standardize and improve RCO’s.
15. Build the process capability & control through SPC system.
16. Lead and build the capability of process failures technical troubleshooting.
17. Lead process benchmarking & reapplication.
18. Collaborate with LL, ML and EO’s to develop new standards.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Polymer Science / Rubber Technology / Chemical Engineering or Chemistry.
• Excellent statistical & data analysis skills.
• Good communicator with sound problem solving skills.
• Sound technical & mechanical knowledge about basic line equipment.
