PgP5 Plant is Bosch Group’s newest expansion in Malaysia, a semiconductor test site in Batu Kawan Penang. The construction began in May 2021, and the first series of production is set to commence in 2023. With long-term forecasts for growth of semiconductor component quantities, coupled with the front-end production in Bosch’s Dresden facility in Germany, capacity expansion is required for the back-end production, which is the final testing phase of semiconductors and sensors. PgP5 will primarily focus on the final testing of components manufactured at Bosch Automotive Electronics’ fab in Dresden, Germany. The plant will also house R&D and training facilities.

Job Description

• Perform maintenance according to maintenance plan on tilt table and calibration.
• Analyze downtime reasons of the equipment, and perform mechanical, electrical, and electronic repairs of the equipment. Release of equipment according to engineering specifications.
• Localize failures on measurement boards, PCBs, and repair boards.
• Conduct mechanical and electrical alignment of the equipment according to supplier specifications.
• Autonomously adapt and extend circuit diagrams according to engineering specifications.
• Act as the first contact person regarding appointments with equipment suppliers and for questions related to the equipment suppliers. Monitor due dates and engage in technical discussions with suppliers and engineering.
• Develop measures to reduce failures, improve quality and output, and reduce costs together with engineering.
• Analyze failures on carriers and perform their repair. Maintain carriers.
• Place carriers into operation according to specifications.
• Align all changes with lead plant engineering.
• Hold 8D responsibility and manage lot disposal.
• Instruct operators in alignment with production management.
• Work in production.
• Support FMEA and Control Plan.
• Ensure spare parts availability.
• Execute any other related duties assigned by the immediate supervisor from time to time.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's in the following fields:

1. Mechanical Engineering
2. Electrical Engineering
