What is the opportunity?

The Private Banking Team is looking for an accredited professional who has the desire and ability to deliver an exceptional and personalized experience to High Value (HV) clients focused on Private Banking’s core value proposition of wealth planning, credit, cash management, and day-to-day banking delivering the Private Banking Black Card Client Experience.

What will you do?

As a One RBC steward of a portfolio of clients, you will bring the best of RBC to clients, their networks, and their families. You will introduce clients to the right solutions, partners, and capabilities at the right time to help meet client needs both within Private Banking and across RBC.

  1. Build, retain, and deepen client relationships while delivering an exceptional client experience to high value clients and their households.
  2. Create and execute client strategies and action plans including proactive contact & follow-up strategy using sales advice & planning tools.
  3. Proactively monitor client affairs and identify product and solution opportunities for both client’s business and personal needs to leverage the expertise of the RBC Financial Group.
  4. Support high quality credit book working together with the Manager Credit Structures through strong client selection, thorough financial discovery, regular updating of financial position and client information.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have:

  1. University Degree or equivalent education.
  2. 5 years of progressive experience in Personal/Commercial Banking, preferably in a Relationship Management role.
  3. Sound knowledge of all Banking Operations, Sales Routines, and Products/Services.
  4. Strong organizational skills and business orientation.
  5. Broad and/or deep understanding of the various products available across RBC group to support client advice and partnering.
  6. Strong strategic thinker.
  7. Excellent presentation skills.
  8. Very strong written and oral communication skills.
  9. High achievement orientation/results driven.
  10. Strong customer service and sales skills.

Nice-to-have:

  1. Financial Planning designation or equivalent certification in Financial Planning.
  2. A developed referral network or possesses a current extensive network of centres of influence.
