In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

1. Unleash the value of systems & hardware through development of drivers, software, or firmware.
2. Specify, design, implement, and test software features for new and existing products.
3. Drive software development excellence, continuous improvement and bring innovation into software and hardware products.
4. Work and interact with colleagues from other divisions such as R&D hardware, R&D software, systems R&D, manufacturing, or other business groups.
5. Sustain and maintain the software product in meeting both the quality and security requirements.

For This Role, You Will Need:

1. B.S. or M.S. in computer science, and/or computer engineering, and/or electrical engineering.
2. Strong understanding of computers and high-level programming languages (C/C++).
3. Minimum 8 years of experience for Principal level; 5 years for Senior level; 2 years for Staff level.
4. Detailed understanding of the following concepts and principles:
1. Software design and architecture principles
2. Object Oriented Programming
3. Programming for hardware or systems
4. Computer architecture and operating system
5. Demonstrated capability to define and complete software projects
5. Experience in the following areas will be an added advantage:
1. Windows & Linux debugging tools, such as WinDBG
2. Unit testing
3. Scripting languages such as Python

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

1. Demonstrated ability to take initiative, be a self-starter, and work independently.
2. Take ownership of goals, project schedules; persistently drive tasks/projects to completion.
3. Work effectively across groups and with global teams (e.g. USA).
4. English language proficiency and effective communication skills.
5. Can clearly and concisely communicate in English, particularly in technical conversations.
