PRINCIPAL RESEARCHER

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

General

1. Define and champion the strategic vision for product and process innovation, ensuring the organization's sustainability and leadership position in the industry.
2. Develop and oversee strategies to ensure compliance with country-specific regulatory environments, governing bodies, and industry compliance requirements.
3. Lead the exploration and integration of the latest cutting-edge technologies relevant to the industry.

Business / Operations

1. Formulate and implement strategic business plans for product and process innovation and development.
2. Spearhead the identification and exploration of opportunities for designing groundbreaking products and processes aligned with the organization's strategic vision.
3. Oversee comprehensive analyses to measure product competitiveness and performance, guiding strategic decision-making.
4. Cultivate an innovation ecosystem that promotes and accelerates process or product innovation.
5. Lead advanced data analysis and interpretation to drive substantial continuous improvement.
6. Direct and oversee complex research activities and experiments, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
7. Apply deep scientific principles, practices, and findings to lead innovative research and development projects.
8. Establish and monitor key performance indicators for new products or processes, ensuring alignment with international benchmarks and standards.
9. Develop and refine sophisticated methods to evaluate product technical performance, leveraging global R&D methodologies.

People/ Stakeholder Management

1. Employee engagement, development, succession planning, and performance management.
2. Perform any additional executive-level tasks assigned by senior leadership.

REQUIREMENTS:

Education:

1. Ph.D in (Chemistry)/(Polymer Science)/(Material Science)/(Polymer Engineering)/(Material Engineering)/(Applied Chemistry) or equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience.
