Postgraduate Researcher (PHD/Master)

We currently recruit suitably qualified candidates for the position of Postgraduate Students (PhD) at Malaysia-Japan International Institute of Technology (MJIIT), Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, Jalan Sultan Yahya Petra, Kuala Lumpur. The main objective of the group is to establish a world-class collaborative research environment backed by strong research funding while harnessing expertise from Malaysia and Japan.

Available research projects:

• Development of Mechanical Bearing System [research collaboration with Japanese industry] - 1 vacancy (preferred student who is willing to work in Japan after graduation)
• Low friction coating for machine elements - 2 vacancies
• Coating development for biomedical engineering

Requirements:

• Preferably Fresh Graduates (less than 1 year working experience) in 2024: Candidates must possess a strong Bachelor’s Degree (CGPA ≥ 3.00) or Master’s Degree or equivalent in mechanical, material science, physics, chemical engineering, manufacturing, tribology, or other related disciplines.
• Strong written and communication skills, especially in English.
• Able to work excellently with multiple tasks, independent and self-motivated.
• Full-time student.
