Job Description - Postdoctoral Fellow(s) / Research Associate(s) (230003D6)

The Department of Biomedical Engineering (BME) at The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) is seeking highly motivated researchers.

State-of-the-art inter- and multi-disciplinary research is conducted in the department of BME at CUHK and the department is ranked 1st in Hong Kong and 20th in global ranking. The hired researchers will work with Dr. Sadia Shakil and will perform inter-disciplinary research involving analysis and model development for brain structure and function.

Minimum Requirements:

1. Applicants should have (i) a PhD (for Postdoctoral Fellow) or a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or any other relevant field plus four years’ relevant post-qualification work experience (for Research Associate). The degree must be awarded by a local (Hong Kong) university or a well-recognized non-local university.
2. (ii) Knowledge of mathematics (especially linear algebra, calculus, and optimization), probability & statistics, programming (especially MATLAB and Python), neuroimaging (especially MRI, fMRI, and EEG), machine learning/AI/computer vision (comprehension of mathematics behind various models/algorithms).
3. Preference will be given to candidates with strong communication and technical writing skills in English.
