Player Support - Creative Writer

We are looking for a talented, creative and passionate writer to join us and help us build something special. In this role, you will get to design, create and curate original reference content for wikis on Player Support websites and other online platforms with your unique touch. Your work will become the go-to-hub for players seeking deeper knowledge about their favorite fictional worlds.

You’ll contribute to building new wiki pages, expanding and refining existing content, and ensuring every player’s experience with our world is as rich and immersive as possible. Core Responsibilities

These are the tasks we expect will occupy 80-90 percent of your time on a regular basis:

1. Conduct thorough research, write and curate original, high-quality content for gaming-related wikis on the company’s website and other social platforms ensuring accuracy, relevance, and depth.
2. Playing games to develop in-depth understanding and perform extensive fact-checking for wiki content.
3. Use provided resources and personal knowledge to craft fun, detailed and visually appealing wikis.
4. Maintain a consistent and professional online presence that reflects the company’s value, tone and standards.
5. Design and organize wikis for smooth navigation, clarity and lasting usability.
6. Ensure all contents adhere to business guidelines and compliance.
7. Apply SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) best practices for online platform optimization.
8. Collaboration with the team for in-person events and community building.
9. Daily journaling.

Additional Responsibilities

These are other tasks that you will be occasionally asked to do:

1. Complete surveys and assist with research.
2. Test new games and features (and keep them secret).
3. Present on a topic to teammates or clients, depending on the situation (voluntary).
4. Help the company innovate on internal processes to make it a great work environment.

Requirements

The core competencies required for this job are:

1. Impeccable communication (written and verbal).
2. 2-3 years of content writing experience.
3. Detail-oriented and commitment to producing error-free content.
4. Familiar with graphics editors and graphic design.
5. Proficiency in writing, editing, grammar and proofreading skills in a wide range of tone and manner.
6. Have experience in MediaWiki, wiki markup, and wiki communities.
7. Able to work on the various needs of projects.
8. Experience with basic software (i.e. Google Suite, Microsoft Office, Internet research).
9. Integrity (commitment to consistency between words and actions, accountability).
10. Able to meet project timelines & deadlines.
11. Project management (basic).

Nice to haves:

1. Basic statistics knowledge.
2. Previous strong experience using work productivity software.
3. A love for games, especially video games.
4. Basic project management.
