Possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Agricultural Science/Forestry/Plantation Management, or related field.
Advanced qualifications in agriculture or estate management are an advantage.
At least 10 to 15 years of hands-on experience in managerial role within the oil palm plantation industry or field operational management, or similar role.
Strong leadership and team management skills, capable of leading large, diverse workforce.
Excellent strategic planning and organizational abilities, with experience in budgeting and resource allocation.
In-depth knowledge of oil palm agronomy, estate operations, and best agricultural practices.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions to improve estate performance.
Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of management, stakeholders, and external parties.
Strong oral and written in English and Bahasa Malaysia; Mandarin would be an added advantage.
Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and adapt to the challenges of a remote working environment.
Willingness to be stationed in remote locations and adapt to estate life.
Job Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage all aspects of daily plantation operations, including land preparation, planting, harvesting, maintenance, transportation, and infrastructure development.
Ensure the implementation of best practices in crop management, pest control, fertilization, and irrigation to optimize yield and maintain the health of the plantation.
Develop and implement long-term and short-term strategic plans for the plantation, including productivity targets, cost control, and resource management.
Ensure all plantation activities comply with company policies, industry regulations, and environmental guidelines.
Prepare and submit regular performance reports, including yield, labor management, financials, and other key performance indicators, to the top management.
Act as the primary liaison between the plantation and the head office, ensuring effective communication and alignment with corporate objectives.
Ensure compliance with sustainability standards, including RSPO (Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil) or other relevant certifications.
Lead the response to any operational emergencies, ensuring minimal disruption to plantation activities.
