Planning & Procurement Executive

About the role

As a Procurement Executive at BizLink Technology (S.E.A) Sdn. Bhd., you will play a crucial role in supporting the company's manufacturing and logistics operations. Based in Perai, Penang, this full-time position will involve managing the procurement processes to ensure timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials and services.

What you'll be doing

Job Responsibilities

1. Coordinate with internal stakeholders to identify procurement needs and develop sourcing strategies.
2. Research and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate contracts, and manage supplier relationships.
3. Prepare and process purchase requisitions, orders, and other procurement documentation.
4. Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with the logistics team to optimize stock management.
5. Analyze procurement data and provide recommendations to improve efficiency and cost savings.
6. Ensure compliance with the company's procurement policies and procedures.
7. Review customer Purchase Orders and commit the Sales Department for the delivery date in Sales Order Detail.
8. Release Work Orders upon receiving Sales Order Detail from the Sales Department.
9. Provide Production Schedule to production.
10. Update Material Shortage Report, advise quantity order requests, and work closely with Buyer for raw material delivery dates.
11. Issue Material Issue Note (MIN) to Warehouse for preparing material for Production.
12. Ensure work orders are completed in a timely, accurate manner. Monitor materials fulfillment and WIP utilization.
13. Implement production planning and monitor production output to meet customer requirements and delivery dates.
14. Resolve any issues arising from the issuance of raw materials.
15. Authorized not to create work orders if there is no Sales Order.
16. Authorized to not accept customer pull-ins if full capacity and hold production line if notice of ECN or Non-Conformance is received.

What we're looking for

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a procurement or planning role, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
• Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Proficient in using SAP and data analysis tools.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
• Degree in Supply Chain Management or any related field.
• Candidates who are fluent in Mandarin are preferred because the role requires interaction with Mandarin speakers.
