Job description

We are seeking a highly motivated PhD candidate to join our research team at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM). The position will focus on research related to UV disinfection systems, including UV LED circuit and system design, as well as the design, realization, and testing of Ultraviolet-C LED arrays for bacterium disinfection.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design circuits and standalone systems using microprocessors (e.g., Arduino).
  • Develop, realize, and test Ultraviolet-C LED arrays for bacterium disinfection.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of researchers and engineers.
  • Publish research findings in peer-reviewed journals and present them at prestigious conferences.

  • Conduct innovative research that contributes to advancements in UV disinfection systems.
  • Work collaboratively with experts in biomedicine, biology, electronics, and electrical engineering.

Qualifications

  • First class bachelor degree in Electrical/Electronic/Biomedical Engineering or master holder in Electrical/Electronic/Biomedical Engineering.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good in circuit design.
