Responsibilities:

• Streamline all production activities comply with regulatory requirements from agencies such as the National Pharmaceutical Regulatory Division (NPRA) and other local regulatory bodies.
• Ensure all products, in process materials, production facilities and processes are in accordance with codes of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) requirements through proper monitoring procedures, effective training program and up to date documentations.
• Collaborate with cross functional teams, including quality control, regulatory affairs and supply chain management to ensure smooth and efficient production of pharmaceutical products.
• Establish/ amend Standard Operating Procedure (SOP)/ Work Instruction (WI) in accordance with Company's required standard and expectation to ensure consistency in production operations, minimize deviations and communicate the changes to relevant personnel.
• Ensure continuous improvement of production activities through regular reviewing of SOPs, test procedures and specifications.
• Review documents (Batch Manufacturing Record) along with all the respective in-process quality control records, Controlled Drugs in Process Record, etc to ensure data accuracy prior to product batch release.
• Evaluate and recommend improvements to the production system to increase yield, reduce waste, and improve product quality, at the same time implementing company policies and goals to meet KPI.
• Participate in quality risk management program and prepare quality risk assessment reports in regard to proposed changes of existing or introducing new processes/ machinery equipment/ BMR critical control parameter and follow up the corrective actions proposed.
• To provide input in investigations for any Out-of-Specification (OOS), product failure or complaint related to equipment and processes.
• Co-ordinate, monitor and follow through effectiveness of Corrective Action/ Preventive Action (CAPA) implementation within the required deadline to prevent recurrence of deviation.
• Prepare and present reports on production performance, quality control issues, safety issues and process improvements to management.
• Monitor drugs manufacturing activities in compliance with the requirements of cGMP.
• Involve in overseeing drug dispensing while keeping an optimal level of quality and efficiency.
• Assist in pilot scale trials of products under development.
• Participate in audit/ visitation by auditor, supplier, customer and external service providers.

Requirements:

• A professional Degree in Science/ Pharmacy/ Pharmacology/ Pharmaceutical Engineering.
• A registered Pharmacist with Pharmacy Board of Malaysia.
• Minimum 3 to 5 years' experience in related field.
• Experience in a cGMP Pharmaceutical in production environment is an added advantage.
• Able to work with people from different levels with sound leadership capabilities.
• Strong technical, analytical, problem-solving skills, as well as good communication and teamwork.
• Familiar with production equipment and software, and the quality control methods and standards.
