Paralegal (12 months contract)
Job description
Responsible for supporting mainly the administrative tasks related to legal, company secretarial, compliance and debt recovery matters.
Responsibilities:
Legal Matters
- Conducting legal research
- Assist in drafting and reviewing legal documents, contracts, letters
- Preparation of evidence for court matters
- Tracking IP register and dealing with external IP consultant on IP registration
Company Secretarial
- Administrative duties on statutory filings to CCM and preparation of Board resolutions
- Assist in the preparation of quarterly Board meetings
Others
- Work with internal & external stakeholders on collecting data for day-to-day tasks of legal, compliance and corporate secretarial functions
- Assist in compliance projects and debt recovery initiatives
- Perform administrative tasks such as coordination & planning for dispatch of documents, signing of documents and setting up meetings
Requirements:
- At least 2 years working experience in law firms and/or legal departments in companies in relation to the areas of corporate law
- Minimum degree in Law
- Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia (proficiency in Mandarin and other Chinese dialects is an added advantage)
- Strong proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- High work capacity, self-driven and a team-player
- Mature, independent and results-oriented
- Pleasant personality with good interpersonal and communication skills
- Organised and meticulous

Working Time: Monday - Thursday 8:15am - 5pm, Friday 8:15am - 4pm
