PACKAGE OWNER/SENIOR ENGINEER (Mechanical Wet/Dry/Electrical/Process)

Job Descriptions:

Responsible and accountable to lead the sub-contractor package in terms of technical decisions, safety requirements, QAQC, meeting schedule and cost awareness. Collaborate with project stakeholders to define the scope of work for the assigned package within the overall project.

1. Develop detailed package execution plans, including scope, schedule, budget, resources, and deliverables.
2. Manage contractual agreements and relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors involved in the package.
3. Review, negotiate, and administer contracts, change orders, and variations related to the package scope.
4. Monitor and control costs associated with the package to ensure adherence to budgetary constraints.
5. Forecast and manage expenditures, identifying cost-saving opportunities and optimizing budget utilization.
6. Track and manage progress of construction activities within the package, ensuring alignment with overall project milestones.
7. Coordinate with project management teams to resolve scheduling conflicts, mitigate delays, and expedite critical path activities.

Job Requirements:

1. Candidate who is able to speak, read & write in Mandarin will be prioritized due to the needs to liaise with China management.
2. Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification recognized in Malaysia is beneficial.
3. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or other relevant project management certifications are beneficial.
4. Typically 8-10+ years of progressive experience in engineering, construction, or project management roles.
5. Specific experience managing construction packages or segments within large-scale semiconductor projects is highly desirable.
6. In-depth knowledge of construction processes, methods, and materials relevant to the specific industry sector (e.g., civil infrastructure, building construction, oil & gas, etc.).
7. Candidate must be able to work in Selangor on a 6 working day basis weekly.
